One of the many characteristics of the Internet that has made it so attractive is the opportunity to interact with others. This can happen in a variety of ways, but let’s focus on news stories.
Readers are allowed, and even encouraged, to share their opinions with others by leaving comments after articles. Obviously, these comments can vary from the insightful to the prosaic, from the reasonable to the extreme.
If you wish to offer your readers the opportunity for a free flow of thoughts, this is a good thing. If you are trying to push an agenda, you run the risk of the discussion in your comments section turning against that very agenda.
National Public Radio’s recent decision illustrates just where that organization stands on the promotion of freedom of speech. Keep in mind that NPR draws much of its funding from the very taxpayers it has chosen to muzzle.
Our friends at Breitbart give us the specifics.
Biased news heavy left leaning and short on facts I listen every morning and laugh all the way to work they have No shame!!!
There is no valid reason why NPR is even around any longer. They are not needed and a waist of tax dollars. SHUT IT DOWN.
No,NPR which is funded by the public leans heaviely to the left, and their comment section was running contrary to their agenda so they did what any self respecting liberal would do,just shut off negative comment, that is one of the bread and butter plays in their playbook,so as anyone with a brain would know, when you do that you lose all credibility and so they have.
A very good idea,i guess the only thing would be ,the libs driving to work every morning would not get their emotional “fix”for the day.
Lib. C**p
NPR has no business receiving public funds!
I listen to it for the classical music only they shouldn’t be allowed to report any news cause they interject false theories and ideologies of the Marxist left movement
Propaganda machine…..
Defund npr
NPR should be defunded by our tax dollars and if it can’t stand on its own commercial feet allowed to go quietly into the night of oblivion.
