North Korea Successfully Tests Hydrogen Bomb, 5.1 Seismic Event Detected

After the USGS detected a 5.1 magnitude earthquake in the vicinity of a Pyongyang nuclear site, North Korea announced that they have successfully tested a miniaturized hydrogen bomb, which would mean that the country has carried out its fourth known nuclear test. North Korean TV interrupted their regular oppressive programing for a “special and important” announcement that claimed a hydrogen bomb test carried out at 10:00 AM local time was a success. They also felt the need to clarify that the bomb test was conducted in a safe and perfect manner and had no adverse impact on the ecological environment.

It would seem that whatever reports that came in from North Korea just a few months ago that stated Kim Jong Un wanted North Korea to rejoin the rest of the world and go through the process of having their sanctions lifted were completely false. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be testing weapons of mass destruction. The countries surrounding North Korea are now and edge, and for good reason.
