A pro-police lobbyist has pushed through legislation that makes legal for police in North Dakota to fire ‘less than lethal’ weapons from the air at citizens.
House Bill 1328 wasn’t originally created to permit this, but a lobbyist with a booming drone industry got his hands on it and got it changed to allow cops to shoot people with anything from tasers to tear gas from a drone.

There are so many ignorant comments in this posting. Most people do not have a clue what a taser is and what it is used for. A taser is designed to incapacitate the human nervous system. That being said it is deployed in an effort to subdue a person with minimal injury to the suspect, and so the suspect will not have the capacity to injure the officer. In 99 per cent of the time when the electric current stops flowing, the suspect suffers no injury and is generally calmer than before the application. Again, deploying it prevents an officer from using the baton, which can break bones and cause injury. Now if the cop gets injured, then he is removed from the street reducing his effectiveness to the department and the community, plus if he is injured severely enough, other people have to cover his shift and there are workman’s comp costs to consider, all paid for by the taxpayer. Now remember, the reason a taser, or any other police weapon is deployed, is caused by the actions of someone breaking the law.
Tasers ARE lethal to certain people, the operator cannot tell if a person has a physical disability which could kill them if tasered! Robocop is coming true!
