For the third week in a row, ratings for the NFL have fallen due to anti-American protests during the playing of the national anthem. While ESPN praises Kaepernick and his teammates for taking a knee and disrespecting America both on and off the field, the NFL is losing quite a bit of viewers. Why, you might be wondering. Well, if you take into consideration that unlike the MLB and the NHL, the NFL is made up of mostly American players, as are their viewers.
While this week’s drop happened to coincide with the first presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, ratings have been decreasing steadily since the start of the season. According to Sports Business Daily, ratings have dropped by eighteen percent since this point last season. And this is all thanks to Kaepernick and his “protest.” Since he started this movement he probably hoped would keep him relevant, several other players across the league have joined him. It’s really rather ironic if you think about it. None of these players live in poverty, and they probably know about as little about American as a three year old child does. And their actions haven’t stopped at taking a knee.

LOW BALL THEM
Wow. Making a great deal of money and screwing it up. Not too smart.
Everything that has been good to these brats is not good enough. So not only do they destroy their own neighborhoods they destroy one of the best livelihoods that many black men ever had. Brilliant! !
If America is not great, then why are people willing to die to get here?
America is great and people want to come here to be free and have opportunities they don’t have elsewhere b
Good
Way to go folks…..no need to put up with this BS!!!
Why cover your heart if you don’t respect the very thing you are not standing for? Unless you are doing it for the attention??
The second part to the national anthem is one part of the “complaint” that he and others are using to justify their kneeling. Some activist started this c**p and they’ve got it all twisted up. The band spoke of in the stanza are the colonial marines who were all former slaves. They were promised that if they fought for Britain during the war of 1812, that they would have their freedom. It was their blood that was highlighted in the song that was going to be used to wash away the British ships. The hireling and the slave were told that there would be no safe haven to hide. Slaves or not, they joined the enemy of the US at that time. What did they expect? The song wasn’t racist but it’s been turned that way. I wish it had never happened in this country but we fell into it because of other nations who were already doing it. North African muslim nations were catching them and having other African nations doing it. The muslim nations produced the Barbary Pirates who were the initiators and pushers of slavery. The US overcame slavery and eventually segregation was abolished and voting rights established. Black politicians, mayors, police chiefs/officers, fire chiefs/firefighters, doctors, nurses, reporters, athletes and so many more chances for them are because of this great nation which has changed so much for the better. Instead of slamming this country for the past slavery that happened, look at the nations who are still doing it. Instead of crying out against police officers who shoot black people, look at how many times it has been determined that the officers were right. Have some completely fouled up? Yes and they get convicted, sentenced and have no support from other LEO’s. Those are so few compared to the number of times officers get it right daily. They also need to speak up and do something for the black on black crime which is way more severe than police officers killing black people. Also, the stats are out there that show more whites are killed by law enforcement every year. The day the man in North Carolina was killed, there were 5 white men killed because of robberies, warrants, fleeing and guns being drawn. They broke laws and didn’t comply just like the man in NC and the one in Tulsa, which isn’t quite over just because that officer was arrested. A lot more to it. Sure looks like that AG did what the Baltimore AG did and that was to please the crowds on their own and without a convened grand jury.
If you can’t stand the national anthem and our flag go play football somewhere else
