A good example of someone who truly ‘got woke’ would be NFL legend Burgess Owens. On Tuesday, the former New York Jets and Oakland Raiders football player appeared at the House hearing on reparations and chided Democrats harshly with the truth about their history and all ‘the misery that that party brought’ to African Americans.
“I used to be a Democrat until I did my history and found out the misery that that party brought to my race,” he said.
“I do believe in restitution. Let’s point to the party that was part of slavery, KKK, Jim Crow, that has killed over 40 percent of our black babies, 20 million of them.
“State of California, 75 percent of our black boys cannot pass standard reading and writing tests: a Democratic state,” he said.
“So yes, let’s pay reparation. Let’s pay restitution. How about the Democratic Party pay for all the misery brought to my race?” Owens said in a statement that sent shockwaves.
Ouch! Just like the failed Russia collusion investigation that ultimately revealed the crime and corruption of the leftist perpetrators of the attempted coup, the call for reparations will ultimately only serve to shine a light on the evil history the Democrats have regarding their treatment of the black race in America.
