The safety of our children is at stake and the government seems to be promoting it. A new law has come into affect in Washington regarding the use of gender specific restrooms and locker rooms by people who identify themselves as transgender. Transgender is classified as a person whose self-identity does not conform to conventional notions of the male or female physical body they were born with. Simply put, a person who looks male but identifies as female can now undress themselves in front of children or watch them undress.
Where will it end? The law also prohibits the owners and workers of these facilities from asking outright if a person is transgender before allowing them entry to an area that is gender specific. We’re no longer standing up for LGBT rights, we’re ignoring the comfort and safety of women and children in public places by allowing grown men entry to areas they previously were not allowed to go.
Mandate from whom?
You know everyone is looking at this issue from only one side. You all DO realize of course that there are female transgenders as well don’t you? That means if some lesbian$#%&!@*whatever they call themselves, feel like their gender identity is male and choose to enter a male restroom that THAT is the same kind of issue without of course the potential (drastically reduced) that they’d try to do anything to little boys or other men in a men’s restroom to assault them sexually. HOWEVER I guess that’s possible too. It’s bad enough what it means to the male to female TG’s but the female to male TG’s are also an issue. And frankly if I ever see that occur in any restroom I have to use, the$#%&!@*s going to hit the proverbial fan. Hell, I don’t even like peeing in public…..with some level or privacy at urinals (as little as there is). Can’t imagine those peeing troughs that used to be the thing in school many years ago or other places. I hate having to go to the bathroom away from home. I don’t particularly like company when I’m dealing with private bodily functions. Even my wife – who I’ve been married to for 49 years almost – I am not particularly fond of her company for anything in the bathroom especially when I have to have a sit-down. So publicly – nope not at all. And if I ever see someone enter male restroom that I occupy there WILL be hell to pay and one nasty confrontation.
Totally unconscionable!
Screw that law!!! I’m an American that will ask any damn question I feel like!!!
It’s not a freaking law the president has no rights to try and write a law only Congress and we the people can instill and make the laws and they have not passed that law
How about a roll of tp upside the head…..
I predict an increase in women’s room$#%&!@*whoopin’s..
Never happen. He doesn’t have long enough left in his term to push this through. It would have to pass house and senate. He doesn’t have the authority to withhold any funds or make any laws
If the sex offenders list wast high enough, now we just give them a open door.
WHAT are they thinking? Well, they aren’t considering the entire picture that may unfold.
