A New Jersey woman is facing a $1,000 dollar fine for harboring wild animals, or at least that’s what the courts are calling it. Maria Vaccarella, a resident of Howell, NJ, took in two baby squirrels after their mother had abandoned them on her property this summer.
She found them all alone and vulnerable to hungry predators. She wasn’t looking for pet squirrels, nor did she intend to purposefully break the law. Out of the kindness of her heart, she took the two baby squirrels into her home and nursed them back to health, fully intending on returning them back to the wild once they were strong enough.
Despite her good intentions, two officers showed up at her door.

Well I think she is an angel for this squirrel if she would have killed it they would say animal abuse. Which way is it.

How stupid can the state politicians get….thought Washington was bad enough.
Looks like the government goes after any excuse to export money out of people. That’s some friend that lady has.
Of all the thing government has to worry about and they worry about a woman’s compassion for animals. I say good for her.
Sad to say, but this is what this country is turning into. Common sense out the window. Sad state of affairs.
The world is upside down.
How did they find out she was feeding them, what is wrong with helping little animals stay alive. our gov’s state leval are terrible

Wait a minute here, this woman took in 2 baby squirrels and wasn’t hurting anyone but HERSELF! The government said she shouldn’t have done that they need to fend for themselves. These baby squirrels had no chance without her. Obama said we HAVE to take in more migrants because they need help. Why do they not have to fend for themselves? His decision is affecting the WHOLE country and we will ALL pay for his bad decision.
