New Gun Control Legislation: “To Ensure That The Right To Keep And Bear Arms Is NOT Unlimited”

New Law Will Make Most Guns Illegal

Democrat lawmakers in Congress recently created bill H.R. 4269, which would completely undo the Second Amendment. The title states its clear objective:

“To regulate assault weapons, to ensure that the right to keep and bear arms is not unlimited, and for other purposes.”

The title is broad enough to encompass almost any gun the Left chooses to prohibit, including rifles, shotguns,and handguns. It would make it illegal to own any magazine that exceeds a capacity of ten rounds. It completely bans any semiautomatic rifle that has a detachable magazine and any one of the following:

“(i) A pistol grip.

“(ii) A forward grip.

“(iii) A folding, telescoping, or detachable stock.

“(v) A barrel shroud.

“(vi) A threaded barrel.

Of course none of these features have anything to do with the operation or deadliness of the weapon. But they allow Democrat lawmakers to label them as “assault weapons” which are therefore illegal. Even handguns with a magazine holding more than ten rounds could be included as an “assault weapon.” In a later section of the bill, it states:

Section 3, (v) (1) It shall be unlawful for a person to import, sell, manufacture, transfer, or possess, in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce, a semiautomatic assault weapon.

The bill was introduced on December 16, 2015 when congress was certain that the public was distracted by upcoming Christmas celebrations. It has 123 co-sponsors, all of whom are Democrats. As often as they have denied that their objective is to totally disarm America, it is clear in this bill that this is exactly their objective. Perhaps it is best that the lie is fully exposed and the public is aware that the Democrat Party is fully engaged in confiscating legal and lawful arms that American citizens keep for their personal protection. But we must act. We have been warned, and now we need to make sure that Democrats and President Obama pay a big price for this outrageous behavior.
