Reporter Mark Mulholland from NBC NewsChannel 13 and camera man Matt Soriano were threatened with arrest by a man who claimed to be a corrections lieutenant simply for filming in a national park with an empty prison in the background.
Mulholland was doing an on-site story about Grant’s Cottage in Wilton, NY for the 129th anniversary of President Ulysses S. Grant death.

Maybe the prison wasn’t really empty and they didn’t want them catching what their doing there.
Something’s in that prison that they don’t want us to know about. If it’s truly empty and not in use, there’s no reason to take this defensive action.
Not empty.
This guy below has got something to do with this I bet…….
SOUNDS LIKE A GUILTY CONSCIENCE TO ME…WONDER WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON INSIDE THAT “ABANDONED” PRISON….OBVIOUSLY MORE THAN WE THINK….. =/
Maybe noone understands this but a corrections officer has absolutely no authority outside of a prison…and if they do stupid c**p like this they could end up in some major trouble…..but it does make you wonder why the strange behavior….what are they hiding what are they protecting why do they feel like they can confiscate film….I think I will go there and stir the pot…..
i would of said move on turn key , call a cop if ya want .
