Jay Familglietti, NASA’s top water scientist, recently warned that California has only a year’s supply of water left in storage facilities and the backup groundwater is rapidly depleting. Despite this harrowing fact, California has no backup plan to address this crisis.
“California has no contingency plan for a persistent drought like this one (let alone a 20-plus-year mega-drought), except, apparently, staying in emergency mode and praying for rain,” stated Familglietti. “In short, we have no paddle to navigate this crisis.”
UPDATE: California Gov. Jerry Brown issues ineffectual, mandatory water restriction as one-third of our nation’s crops are threatened. See Page 3 for updates.

Dry up and $#%&!@* off California. Arnold can save you.
If they quit giving free stuff to all the illegals they would have enough money to put in desalination plants
No need for satellites in this case. The problem is known. They let rain water run off into the ocean as part of an effort to save a fish. Prime example of liberal policies and unintended consequences of their policies
They better start building desalinization plants to convert sea water to potable water which would also create jobs.
Your right I would much rather have the GOP working on it than “Scientists” working on the problem.
Move to Texas we have plenty of water here to share
Let em’ dry up !!!!
Then the people will see how stupid the democrats have been,,,, they’ve ruined cities and now states
30 million people… Wow.. If their Water Bills were only $10.. that be $300 Million to build a nice Desalination plant… But Californians actually pay much less for water then I do! We pay thousands in Water Bills…. Still paying to clean up Boston Harbor… So You Californians can easily pay triple what you are now… And still be less than what Boston residents pay!
So Quit complaining and do something!
Thats liberal governing for ya
I live where the picture was taken, it all goes to so cal and to the farmers. The farmers don’t plant then take the water and sell it to so cal.
