Jay Familglietti, NASA’s top water scientist, recently warned that California has only a year’s supply of water left in storage facilities and the backup groundwater is rapidly depleting. Despite this harrowing fact, California has no backup plan to address this crisis.
“California has no contingency plan for a persistent drought like this one (let alone a 20-plus-year mega-drought), except, apparently, staying in emergency mode and praying for rain,” stated Familglietti. “In short, we have no paddle to navigate this crisis.”
UPDATE: California Gov. Jerry Brown issues ineffectual, mandatory water restriction as one-third of our nation’s crops are threatened. See Page 3 for updates.

Besides Nestle’s using, i drank bottled water yesterday from Ontario CA

Not to mention….$#%&!@*head Nestle is taking what water we do have and bottling it.
Isn’t there an ocean close by?
Arnold swartzennegar said I’ll be back….. With water
Their back up plan could be to make a law, where it’s illegal to say California is out of water. Problem solved.
California is doing this to themselves… Thousands upon thousands of gallons of rain water flow into the ocean each year because Cali hasn’t built a rain run off system.. Rain run off is a viable source of water that could be filtered and used for its cities or even for its agriculture. Desalinization would be a great option, because with ocean levels rising, taking water out of the ocean would be beneficial.. Otherwise California will be underwater eventually. The problem is desalinization uses a ridiculous amount of energy. There are costal countries that do this so it is an option… Would be more realistic if there was an alternative energy that made desalinization more practical.
We saw this devastation when we went right into the heart of it in March … a water driller let us know that if it rained night and day AND flooded it still wouldn’t help them … or the country’s fruit …

Have the wet backs did a ditch from Alaska to San Diego right down the coast.
