Laura Browder, a single mother of two children, six and two, showed up to the Houston Memorial City Mall for a job interview. Being a single mother with no time to find any suitable child care for her children, Browder left the two kids at a food court no more than thirty feet from where she was getting interviewed for a potential job.
The good news is, Laura got the job. The bad news came hot on its heels and it was a shock.
See how the ‘nanny state’ treated Laura after the break:
People think public places are baby sitters. I’ve witnessed parents let their children run wild at restaurants, stores etc, it’s so annoying.
I remember riding my bike ALONE about two miles from my house to go fishing in Alaska. Did it just about every day. It’s not abandoning.
Some just need to get a life
Well maybe if there were enough jobs, and if she got paid enough, oh and if she could’ve found somebody trustworthy to watch her kids while she went to an interview this won’t happen.
Oh but wait, the government actually helping its citizens? Nope. So don’t judge moms and dads, they have it tough enough. Maybe HELP them, and stop complaining. Its not like she took them to the mall and left them there forever. She wasn’t but 30 or 40 feet from them (according to the article).
So maybe if she had the money to pay for, and if most caregivers didn’t abuse children, then this would be a problem.
Nobody stops and goes, “awesome, she is trying to provide for her kids by getting a job.”
The lady had an eye in the back of her head
That’s sick but better there than someplace where they could have been hurt. She knew what she was doing. Thank God for those children.

Under 12 yes do not need left anywhere alone.
Personally I would be afraid to leave my kids in a public place like a mall because there are perverts trolling for kids. However, as a parent I also taught my kids to be alert and scream for help if someone did make them uncomfortable.
She was trying to get a job to support the kids. I don’t need to know any more.BTW congrats on getting the job.
