The establishment wing of the Republican party can’t stop fantasizing about sabotaging Donald Trump — and neither can Mitt Romney.
Despite that he cannot win — a fact that he readily admits — Mitt Romney is still talking about entering the 2016 presidential race as an independent candidate.
The former GOP nominee continued his flirtation with the presidency this past Wednesday when he said that people are still encouraging him to jump into the Clinton/Trump race.
Romney is right about one thing. He wouldn’t win… but not because he would be running as an independent candidate. It is because he has already proven that he cannot win — even with a major party behind him. He’s lost twice before, and his third run at the Oval Office would likely be no different.
Despite this, see who is still urging the former Massachusetts Governor into the race on the next page:
You gave up the first time, just stay down while you are down. Only good thing that can be said about your first run (should be only run ) was that you were not as obvious when you gave up as McCain was when he quit.
Don’t bother. You had your chance and would have won if you hadn’t listened to the GOPe advisors.
