This week, Mitt Romney responded to individuals who have equivocated the far-left and far-right violence that transpired during last week’s Charlottesville riots.
One might assume that Romney would have chosen to more forcefully condemn violence from the alt-right — which would be reasonable, considering an affiliated member killed a woman and injured 30 more.
But Romney wasn’t interested in condemning the leftist violence at all. In fact, he defended the actions of groups like Antifa, claiming that the groups existed in “morally different universes.”
Of course, the tweet wasn’t received well. Read his tweet and responses to the post below:
No, not the same. One side is racist, bigoted, Nazi. The other opposes racism and bigotry. Morally different universes.

If U believe that the other side are not haters, you are crazy. BLM hate cops, Antifa hate our country, flag, values and history. All r evil

You tell’m Tim. I don’t differentiate between hate either, I don’t judge it by degrees. Antifa is the same as the nazis lowriders or the kkk. All of them will have a first hand look at me exercising my 2nd ammendment rights if they bring that ganged up$#%&!@*violence my way.
