The Missouri cities of St. Peters, O’Fallon, Lake St. Louis, and a councilman from O’Fallon have recently filed suit against their own residents for voting to ban red light cameras.
Last November, 73% of St. Charles County citizens went to the polls approved a measure to ban red light cameras, but that didn’t set well with bureaucrats who are now basically suing 73% of their citizens.

You gotta love our politicians.
There is some nuance to it. The county passed the ordinance banning red light cameras. The city is arguing that state law does not give counties the power to bind cities in this way. It’s a very dangerous argument to make as far as this guy’s political career is concerned, but it may be a winning legal argument.

In some states it is legal to have they just want them ban so they can run red lights and stop for no one even if they kill someone that state just don’t care
