The Miss America pageant has become a source of political controversy yet again.
With all the hubbub over Muslims right now, liberals such as Michael Moore are rallying to their defense, with the filmmaker picketing outside Trump Tower with a sign that reads “We Are All Muslims.” Not everybody, however, is buying Moore’s argument.
Seemingly out of nowhere, Miss Puerto Rico herself, Destiny Velez, had a heated exchange with Moore over Twitter, saying that the God of Muslims was not the same as the God of Jews and Christians and that there was “no comparison” between Islam and the latter religions.
As you might have expected, a lot of people were angered by Velez’s comments, leading to the Miss Puerto Rico Organization suspending her for “actions and behavior contrary to the Miss Puerto Rico Organization.”

Now ain’t that a bunch of BS. Guess they never heard of free speech in puerto rico!
What is happening to our freedom of speech! It’s getting rediculous when you can’t give your opinion anymore!!!!
she has the right, she can say what she wants. speak ur mind woman.
You’re safe if you mock insult or criticize Christians, but does not even think of doing the same to Islam, or the political left will take you down.
Heaven knows that the left could never tolerate criticism of a religion which views women as property and which views being gay as a death warrant.
Miss Puerto Rico is right ! God bless her !
