The Miss America pageant has become a source of political controversy yet again.
With all the hubbub over Muslims right now, liberals such as Michael Moore are rallying to their defense, with the filmmaker picketing outside Trump Tower with a sign that reads “We Are All Muslims.” Not everybody, however, is buying Moore’s argument.
Seemingly out of nowhere, Miss Puerto Rico herself, Destiny Velez, had a heated exchange with Moore over Twitter, saying that the God of Muslims was not the same as the God of Jews and Christians and that there was “no comparison” between Islam and the latter religions.
As you might have expected, a lot of people were angered by Velez’s comments, leading to the Miss Puerto Rico Organization suspending her for “actions and behavior contrary to the Miss Puerto Rico Organization.”

In America we have Freedom Of Speech , Miss Puerto Rico should have never been taking out of the pageant ….
Thank you Miss Puerto Rico ! Your truthfulness is refreshing ! As far as I am concerned you are The Winner !!!
“BLESS HER ” !
Oh, so being intelligent, being aware of the security risk, and commenting on it is not the right thing to so suddenly? Ridiculous.
Bleeding heart liberals at it again.
I stand with lady. The fact she said what she did under such scrutiny tells me she could careless about political correctness. Need more of that, not less.
Creat a new crown for her!
I say good for Mrs.puerto Rico she has her God given Wright to say anything she wants
Freedom of speech is a good thing but companies have to right to not allow some things to be said while in their employ or in this case in an international contest. Accruate or not….
Screw Islam
