The Obama administration has directed the military to not allow personnel to say “Christmas”, in spite of the holiday’s status as a federally-recognized holiday.
The reason given by armed forces officials is that not everyone celebrates Christmas and that out of respect for them, military members should refer to Christmas celebrations simply as “holiday”-themed festivities.
This prohibition comes in the context of a wider push for political correctness in society in general and the military in particular, as evidenced by the recent reprimanding of Navy Chaplain Wes Modder for simply discussing religion, as chaplains are wont to do, with military personnel.
See how servicemen have reacted to not being allowed to say Christmas at the link below:
Hate this SOB
According to snoops it isn’t true.
Not true, Really. This article is not true, look it up.
String him up
I hate obama. Don’t believe me, read my posts. But this post is not true. The facts are this… the military cannot hold a ‘Christmas event’. It can hold a ‘holiday event’ for any service members. The term ‘Christmas’ can be said by any individual member whenever he/she wants as the religious or traditional beliefs of any member can be observed by that member. But as the military is a governmental organization, it cannot establish a religion or impose a specific religious event. Further, as the military is a governmental organization, it cannot stop an individual member from exercising his own beliefs. So yes, a military member can still say ‘merry Christmas’ to whomever he/she wishes.
Oh yeah ..also Allah can BLOW ME
Unfortunately this is once again a lie – do your research people – educate yourself before blindly believing everything you read on the Internet.
Say merry christmas anyway guys screw him
That’s right Curtis you said it best maybe Obama should move to Irag too
Not surprised
