Two strikingly similar murders have occurred in Sweden yet the government has responded in such a dissimilar manner toward the victim’s families as well as toward the killers. Both crimes destroyed two innocent lives, going about their daily schedules. Both occurred in public places, where citizens should feel safe. Both were perpetrated as acts of terror, fed by Muslim ideology.
The first of these killings was in August. An Eritrean migrant committed what was, if reports are to be believed, a politically-motivated terror attack. Afton Bladet, Sweden’s best-selling daily reported last week the killer’s admission that he decided to strike in “revenge” for having his asylum application rejected by the Swedish state.
Abraham Ukbagabir, the IKEA killer, left the migration office and immediately sought revenge upon a mother and her son, killing them with a packet of knives he found at IKEA. (The store in response has quit selling knives.) The Prime Minster had no response to this crime or to the fact a disgruntled, angry immigrant of Islamic faith committed the crime, nor was there a massive outpouring of condolences for the victims’ family. The government decided to protect the immigrants, so they sent police to the refugee sights in case there was some form of reprisal.
His Majesty Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden has been conspicuously silent. Hundreds did not flock to the store to lay flowers – yet those killed were not any less innocent, or their families less deserving of sympathy.
The word terrorism has not been used by the government to define this crime, though it was done in revenge by a man who was Muslim and angry at the government.
The next murder, occurred last week, at a school. It too was terrorism. The government and the media all gave special attention to this murder, because one of their own, a Swede committed the crime.
The other attack was just last week, a multiple stabbing in a “troubled” school where a native Swede killed a teaching assistant and student. This too was terrorism, politically and racially motivated – made perfectly clear by the suicide note left by the killer, in which he states his desire “to do something about immigration”.
Anton Lundin-Petterson chose the two he killed and others he attacked according to their skin colour – these are not facts that have gone unnoticed by the mainstream media.
This time, Prime minister Stefan Löfven spoke out against the attack and called it for what it was, an act of terror. One media source reported this attack as “the worst terrorist attack in Sweden since 1940″.
The clear message the Swedish government spells out is that as a native resident of your home nation, it is always your fault. These double standards on murder are the bitter harvest of white guilt that is killing what was once Europe’s most peaceful nation.
Sweden has fallen prey to her own neutrality and now treats the migrant better than the citizen.
