The Michigan Dept. of Agriculture last year forced Joe and Brenda Golimbieski, the owners of Hill High Dairy and Jenny Samuelson, the owner of My Family Co-op, to dump 248 gallons of organic milk and destroy 100 dozen eggs along with fresh cream, butter and cheese after accusing them of “selling food without a license.”
Their farm is a co-op, however, where people must buy shares to obtain food. The MDA stated that their contracts were invalid so the food wasn’t ‘shared’, but ‘sold’.

Justify this action to those who are going hungry in AMERICA…..
How disgusting!!!! Shame on you Michigan
Government gone wild again. Problem is we are afraid of government when they should be afraid of us.
We had to get food at the food bank today and their throwing food away.
sorry ass gov whether fed or state
Well, another example of corporations running America……If they can’t tax it, and they don’t produce it so it generates positive profit, then it must be declared off limits and illegal by some government agency…..We at corporate America can’t have people thinking they can grow or raise their own food without giving us the money, that would be wrong….
The Gov. Is about control. We r going to have stand together as a nation. And defend our right. We should start planning and get ready for it because it coming America
This is a very interesting article…. it could affect the farmers co-op in other states as well.
How pathetic my abominable home state of Michigan. What shame! God have mercy!
Can the governor clean house at the MDA & maybe that’s where it should start?
