The Michigan Dept. of Agriculture last year forced Joe and Brenda Golimbieski, the owners of Hill High Dairy and Jenny Samuelson, the owner of My Family Co-op, to dump 248 gallons of organic milk and destroy 100 dozen eggs along with fresh cream, butter and cheese after accusing them of “selling food without a license.”
Their farm is a co-op, however, where people must buy shares to obtain food. The MDA stated that their contracts were invalid so the food wasn’t ‘shared’, but ‘sold’.

has ever one go nuts?? we grew up on that food….. never killed anybody
they should renew the contract and settle any difference to ensure healthy relationship
no way…. what a waste
WASTEFUL!!
The best of liberal government at work. “They didn’t build that”.
Is a shame not only for them and what they were forced to do but for all those out there that are starving and could have used the eggs and milk to have something to eat .Would be a better option than forcing them to pour it out and smash the eggs and them be lost forever.
Terrible.
Wow I feel so much safer knowing the government is taking care of these farmers. Just think of the chaos of farmers were allowed to make a living. Yeah don’t worry about the illegals crossing the border they are no threat to us
What Why What Happen to the Food Banks out there.
Really RON? If a bureaucracy forces you to destroy your product, how is a food bank involved?
Yes milk and eggs……what were those farmers doing? Trying to kill us…. now, TELL ME MORE ABOUT EBOLA, AND ISIS, AND THIS CURRENT ADMINISTRATION…. dumb bastards!
