When husband Barack became an Illinois state legislator, Michelle scored a job as Vice President of Community Relations for the University of Chicago hospital at a generous salary of $122k per year. She had no experience in the industry at that time. Amazingly, when Barack became a senator in 2005, her salary jumped to $317k! When Michelle moved on to the White House, the high paying “critical” position was quietly eliminated. Come to think of it, that does sound like discrimination.
Now she is doing her victory laps as the end of the Obama administration thankfully draws to a close, but she cannot help taking a few more potshots to let us all know what she thinks about how tough her life has been and the disdain which she holds us in. She recently spoke to the 2016 graduating class of City College in New York and included the following comments.
“It’s the story that I witness every single day, when I wake up in a house that was built by slaves,” Obama told the 3,000 graduates and their families Friday, adding:
“And I watch my daughters–two beautiful, black young women–head off to school–waving goodbye to their father, the President of the United States, the son of a man from Kenya who came here to American–to America for the same reasons as many of you: To get an education and improve his prospects in life.”
She has made no secret of her distaste for living in the White House, an incredible privilege for anyone, but her focus is that it was “built by slaves.” It is strange and disgusting that after all the privilege she has enjoyed these last eight years, the thing she focuses on is negative and petty. She then goes on to denigrate Donald Trump, and to misrepresent his position on immigration. The first job of the President of the United States is to protect the citizens and to uphold the laws of the nation. Obama has violated both, all in the name of “diversity,” which seems to be a holy sacrament to Lefties like Barack and Michelle.
The first lady also launched a thinly veiled attack on presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, saying, “Some folks out there” don’t value the diversity that City College exemplifies.
“They seem to view our diversity as a threat to be contained rather than as a resource to be tapped,” Obama said. “They tell us to be afraid of those who are different, to be suspicious of those with whom we disagree.”
Obama continued, “They act as if name-calling is an acceptable substitute for thoughtful debate, as if anger and intolerance should be our default state rather than the optimism and openness that have always been the engine of our progress.”
