US citizen and resident of Sullivan, Texas, a border town to Mexico, was kidnapped from his home and taken on raft across the Rio Grande by the Mexican Gulf Cartel. He was held for ransom in a cartel stash house in Reynosa, Mexico.
The victim has not been identified, but one of the kidnappers, Jose Guadalupe Hernandez, has been arrested and will be charged with kidnapping, as well as other charges. Read more on page 2.
