Joel Osteen is under fire for taking so long to express a willingness to allow Hurricane Harvey victims to take shelter in Lakewood Church
And it very well may be that Lakewood Church just got new seat cushions and they were afraid of wasting church members money by giving wet homeless people a place to sit down.
Let’s give Joel Osteen a fair opportunity to explain himself, and his actions, or the lack thereof.
He did offer these words of comfort up as the winds, and flood waters started to ravage the streets of Houston.
There’s a simple phrase you have to get down in your spirit, “God’s got this.”

Maybe Osteen just thinks that people don’t have to work when God answers prayer. That is very similar to the “prosperity gospel” he preaches in his church.
But, people don’t really seem ready yet to let Osteen off the hook for failing to open up his church doors to people in need. This has created a real PR nightmare for Osteen and multi-million dollar church and book brand.
This PR crisis has forced Osteen to come out and make a statement, backtracking on ALL his earlier claims about God being enough to make all of this Hurricane victim business go away. His statement, the new official position of opening Church doors and more, all on the next page.

What do peoplke really expect from this$#%&!@*
He didnt turn his backnp on houston. You are probably from a smaller church trying to put him down. There were other buildings to use. People, you know how people gang up to ruin you . So dont be a part of it. Please dont fall for it. It could even be muslims trying ti di99spurse his followers.
Realy Lady? Did you ever went through a storm like this. Untill you realy did, that I dought. Keep that little trap shut
Nope. Google it. Many people shooting video proving it’s a lie
Here’s the video. So if what you were saying is true when the gentleman asked if they were taking people he could have said we’re preparing to or we’re going to open after the other facilities fill up, but his response was no they’re not taking people here. Here’s the video last night

A lot of people sit back and took faith in the news and listen when they were told that it was not necessary to evacuate apparently somebody made a wrong decision this is a natural disaster it’s not time to point fingers at people
