Joel Osteen is under fire for taking so long to express a willingness to allow Hurricane Harvey victims to take shelter in Lakewood Church
And it very well may be that Lakewood Church just got new seat cushions and they were afraid of wasting church members money by giving wet homeless people a place to sit down.
Let’s give Joel Osteen a fair opportunity to explain himself, and his actions, or the lack thereof.
He did offer these words of comfort up as the winds, and flood waters started to ravage the streets of Houston.
There’s a simple phrase you have to get down in your spirit, “God’s got this.”

Maybe Osteen just thinks that people don’t have to work when God answers prayer. That is very similar to the “prosperity gospel” he preaches in his church.
But, people don’t really seem ready yet to let Osteen off the hook for failing to open up his church doors to people in need. This has created a real PR nightmare for Osteen and multi-million dollar church and book brand.
This PR crisis has forced Osteen to come out and make a statement, backtracking on ALL his earlier claims about God being enough to make all of this Hurricane victim business go away. His statement, the new official position of opening Church doors and more, all on the next page.

His church has always been open: his own words on TV. Doesn’t anyone do their homework before pecking at the buttons on their keyboards?
He does not take a salary from the church, he makes money by his book sales
Liar! Anyone who can’t see the truth in this “man”, deserves the wool over their head. He only responded AFTER he was outed!!!
Rob Ralph People love to attack Christians. They love to have excuses of why they are not Christians.
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them”
Would suggest the people of Houston take a closer look at this guy!!!
He has always been a false prophet who stole millions from poor, widows and non Bible based fools.
Those pics were of the garage for Greenway Plaza. Church had no flooding.
…..aren’t people supposed to give to a church to actually help the congregation? ~~ not… help the so called Pastor become a Billionaire Evangelical? This is kind of parallelled to the dangerous dude most people call POPE (only he’s far more dangerous)
