Joel Osteen is under fire for taking so long to express a willingness to allow Hurricane Harvey victims to take shelter in Lakewood Church
And it very well may be that Lakewood Church just got new seat cushions and they were afraid of wasting church members money by giving wet homeless people a place to sit down.
Let’s give Joel Osteen a fair opportunity to explain himself, and his actions, or the lack thereof.
He did offer these words of comfort up as the winds, and flood waters started to ravage the streets of Houston.
There’s a simple phrase you have to get down in your spirit, “God’s got this.”

Maybe Osteen just thinks that people don’t have to work when God answers prayer. That is very similar to the “prosperity gospel” he preaches in his church.
But, people don’t really seem ready yet to let Osteen off the hook for failing to open up his church doors to people in need. This has created a real PR nightmare for Osteen and multi-million dollar church and book brand.
This PR crisis has forced Osteen to come out and make a statement, backtracking on ALL his earlier claims about God being enough to make all of this Hurricane victim business go away. His statement, the new official position of opening Church doors and more, all on the next page.

Sounds good, looks good slick talking preacher that has a lot of people sending their money to a slick talking salesman, and supposedly all in the name of God.
Because you can’t make money off people in need.
I hope what I read is true and he opened his church!
Does not want wet getto niggaz in his church
He is so full of$#%&!@*. a f**e preacher
Not a godly man
Yes a private business can say no.
Pretty simple.
Not sure why anyone is upset or angry at the business owner for this…
The right thing to do would be what Jesus would do. Take care of people no matter what. Mr. Osteen should know that. Regardless of whether the church was ready or not. He should have had the ball rolling and been ready to open if it was necessary. Many people had the time to prepare their homes if they were staying. Mr. Osteen has the money in the coffers….he had as much time as the rest of them to do SOMETHING besides tweet out prayers. Many stories of the Bible that talk about taking care of the masses and he should know this. Want to lead someone to Christ…help them in their time of need. He has to know this.
If was uninhabitable, he wouldn’t have been able to open the doors at all….
This shill has stated that there are many paths to heaven . Alert : this is new age Christian lies . This fraud is an establishment puppet . Use better discernment .
