I’m hearing the ads here in Alaska for months. They are designed to policy-shame Senator Lisa Murkowski into keeping Obamacare because too many people in this state rely so heavily upon the subsidies and the assistance from the medical policies here that there is a huge uproar over the possibility that she may vote to repeal the Unaffordable Care Act.
The problem is that the dire ramifications of inaction by Congress on this debacle are not delved into here because of the remoteness of the state. We are unaffected here by a lot of what is happening down there, particularly in middle America where this terribly damaging healthcare mess is destroying choice, raising premiums, and denying care. Millions upon millions are still uninsured, which is exactly the reason the bill was supposedly passed in the first place. It was one big lie as everyone knows.
Despite all the bad news about Obamacare, there are still those Democrats who continue to trumpet its successes and want to keep it in place, draining precious taxpayer money, like a tremendous Blue money pit.
Frustrated with yet another setback in attempting to Repeal & Replace, Trump and McConnell have both put forward the notion that perhaps its time to pull the trigger on this job-killing, insurance-killing bill and straight-out Repeal it. Read on the following page about who stands with the president and who stands against America. RINOs beware!
Eric L Runion Do you even know what real facts are? find out before you make a fool of yourself more. The highest welfare states are all Democrat run, The states with the most debt, Democrat run. States with biggest economic, criminal and poverty problems are all Blue states. Do some reading and find out for yourself.
Someone should provide the Commander in Chief with the fact that many active duty and retired families use “food stamps.” The stats are readily available, as they are redeemed at commissaries.
Poor Danny all foxed up in the head
“Medically necessary…” and there’s the rub. What’s medically necessary and what’s not. Are you young? If so, advance to the next door. If not, take a pill, go home and call us when everything worsens. Are you terminally ill? If not, good to go. Why are you even here? If so, sorry to hear that. Let us know what you want the eulogy to be. Are you a Democrat voter? If so, we’ll even throw in a free toothbrush. If not, we seem to be backed up from here to eternity. You might want to try Canada or Cuba where they have superior single-payer healthcare. Just mind if you’re supposed to be losing a foot to diabetes that you guard the good foot while under the knife. And don’t think that the whole political party affiliation won’t be taken into account. It certainly was when the IRS was determining which groups could be tax-exempt. Nice try, Bob Zahn. There’s a reason why our government workers didn’t want to give up their Cadillac plan for the Unaffordable Healthcare Act.
The VA is no longer a single-payer system, by the way.
Single payer is coming you can’t stop it also Trump will be impeached you cant stop that either
I’m a vet and been using VA health care for 27 years. Overall its been pretty good care. Just had a double bypass November of 2016.
These stupid republican voters will never believe you Chuck Sanders
