Matt Drudge, political pundit and Drudge Report creator, grew up in Washington D.C. — but the city he sees now is nothing like how he remembers it.
The feelings Drudge has in D.C. aren’t exclusive to the nation’s capitol. It’s also present in Chicago, Baltimore, and a myriad of other Democratic strongholds. Where there is a one-party, leftist government, quality of life suffers.
This can be seen in terrible educational standards, rising crime rates, and extreme poverty. Despite the fact that Democrats are elected to eradicate inner cities of all of these things, they tend to do the opposite.
When most people think of Washington D.C., they think of the White House, the Capitol Building, and several of the nation’s most famous monuments. But several miles away from those national treasures, the town is falling apart.
Hear what Drudge has to say about the degradation of Washington D.C. on the next page:
Nice try Matt, but the useless Republicans control both houses and the wh.
Ya think?
I would believe that if it were only true in large cities. Cities like the ones I live in are controlled by republicans and the crime rate is sometimes worse.
The writer needs to do a spelling and grammar check.
DEMOCRATS = COMMUNISM in todays world and they SURE THE HELL DO NOT BELONG IN AMERICA!!!
I’m shocked, I thought the Democrats represent the Common Man and the goodness of everyone? Bunch of frauds and criminals !
It’s evil
He thinks there is something wrong with sirens? That’s just number of people living in an area. One fire or EMS call for each 11-13 people/year. More people, more sirens within hearing distance. Spread people out and most sirens are farther away. Creepy?
I lived in the D.C. area for three years during the early 1970’s. Drudge has a point about the sirens. Sure there were more in D.C. than there were in small town or rural U.S.A., but they weren’t non stop, and we didn’t worry about bomb threats or see a filthy city crumbling around us a la post 1970’s Detroit. You can argue incessantly about Democrat controlled cities being wonderful, shiny utopias, but that won’t make it actually happen. When you offer too much free stuff, discourage family cohesiveness, are too lenient with criminals, and dismiss personal economic responsibility, your city becomes a utopia, alright! It becomes a utopia for all of the trashy, lazy, damaged people it attracts!
Sounds a lot like Rhide Islands capitol city of Providence. Taken over by dem organized crime syndicates & flooded with illegals. This country is at civil war. When are we going to wake up to this fact. Maybe too late.
Oh, Matt, don’t we know it!
