This very disturbing video shows police officers from Chippewa Falls, WI pull over a desperate couple speeding to the hospital in urgent need of medical assistance.
Suffering from and asthma attack, Casey Kressin was pulled over for “speeding” and “failing to stop” at a traffic light.
Instead of providing a police escort to the hospital the cop detains him for 10 minutes, which ended up killing the man.

EMS1 says:
“Hindsight is always 20 20. I am sure if his wife had it to do over again, she would not have stopped and just drove to the hospital and dealt with the police then. If the police had it to do over they would have taken him to the hospital themselves. Police are not trained in EMS and this is what they thought was best at the time. Sadly that was not the case. If you have never seen someone with asthma then you don’t realize how life threatening it can be. If the wife who was clearly upset had, had an accident driving 80 mile per hour and the police had not stopped her then who’s at fault? It’s was a no win situation for everyone involved. I am so sorry for his families loss. Maybe a solution could be that ALL police officers has a basic training course in EMS. Yes it would cost a little money but could have possibly saved this man’s life.”

It should have been a win win situation. I have suffered with asthma since I was 14 mo old, now I am 64. Watching the video upset me so bad I almost had asthma attack. What the cop should have done was escort the man to the hospital, call ahead let them know how bad the situation was. This man died because a cop tried to play doctor. The what if’s are not revelent, may happened is not revelent what is revelant is this poor sick man did from arrogrance and neglect. I had a similar attack like that, when i got to the ER the doctor told my mother, I made it on time a minute late I would have been DOA. Cops out saving people who are over dosing on drugs and this man died with an attack of asthma. Wrong on so many levels

why are they so stupid
MaryLouise Gorman-Manny this was a very good friend of mine. It makes me so very sad you think this was right 🙁 I was at the funeral and watched his kids have to say goodbye if you want more details ask me but in the end it was a great man and the cops that did this made him suffer they stood there and did nothing
Please let me now the story on thus family. I to suffer with cronic asthma, watching the video almost made have an attack. Common sense was not ysed in this situation. The cop was diffently wrong. My heart go out to the family.
The cop could have just kept following them until they got to the hospital, or escorted them. Instead he is asking all kinds of stupid questions after he stops them … like what is your name and why can’t you breath. If he can not breath then how can he answer those questions. Another example of a stupid police officer
He probably would have just followed them but she stopped. Two miles away and she stopped and even then he hadn’t completely caught up to her. Even then it took a while for the other cops to get there so the officer would have just ended up following for the two miles to the hospital.
The Police man did the right thing. You know the truth the women was running lights and speeding the cop saw that. When he stopped the car he didn’t wait 10 minutes he called for the EMT right away. It’s a shame he died but lets tell the truth about what happened.
The police need medical training
You can think what Ya want but the light she ran was blinking yellow they had him sit outside in very cold weather while having an asthma attack you are not to do that, that caused his lungs to collapse not to mention after he died they insisted on searching her vehicle!!! We will never agree on this. Fyi I think you met him and her at bingo. There are also other things that will come out in court. Timing, speed, ect… Love you but I disagree 100% this time
This is outrageous, Cops are suppose to assist, there out of control!
They failed on both counts!
