Steve Roberts from Santee, CA has been told by apartment managers that he can’t fly his American flag inside his apartment and refuses to renew his lease until he takes it down.
Even though flying the flag abides by the rules set forth in his lease and even though he even obtained permission beforehand, it seems that when new management took over their district office demanded the flag be removed.
This is the 3rd such case we’ve seen recently where our American Flag is somehow deemed ‘offensive’. One case where a man was fined $8000 dollars for havingĀ a tiny flag out of his flowerpot, another where students couldn’t fly our flag on Cinco de Mayo, and yet another where a man was told he couldn’t fly the flag as it might offend Muslims.
Somebody would have got the whopping of their life if it was me, Debbie does good to control me, but I can go off before she even know’s it !
YOU WHO OBJECT SHOULD MOVE ON DOWN THE ROAD, GROW UP
I’d pack my stuff and then paint the whole place red white and blue. Plus I’d where American flag shirts, pants, hats , I’d get flag wrap for my car. American flag everything. Then I’d follow the managment around with a bull horn singing our national anthem.
That’s messed up that we can’t fly our country’s flag without it being offensive.
Well guess what the American flag represents, America! If you find the American flag offensive then you find America offensive. If that is the case let me make it simple so they can understand, GET OUT!!
Makes you wonder who owns the apartment. I liked it .When I saw it I felt he was showing his patriotism. After all he is in a apartment and no land to raise a flag.
renting from muslims?
Here’s a solution…move the heck out of there.
take them to court and when they say that it incites people ask them why they have one in the courtroom !
Just Ay NO!
Sorry, there’s a huge difference between “flying a flag” and using the flag as a curtain; it is disrespectful to the flag. Also, the Landlords have the right to keep a certain amount of uniformity. Non-comformity, no matter how “patriotic”, is usually not tolerated, especially if it violates certain wording in the lease.
