Major UK City Bans its own Flag and Holiday to Avoid Offending Muslims

Today’s appeasement by European governments comes in a different — although no less dangerous — form than it did in the 1930-40s in regard to Nazi Germany.

It takes the form of political correctness that is made even more unbelievable by the fact that it seems to mostly be white liberals offended.

That is right, a leader in the Muslim community told reporters that he — and any of the Muslims he knows — are NOT offended by the English flag or the celebration of St. George’s Day.  As so often is the case, white liberals get offended on behalf of people who weren’t even offended in the first place.

Even those who once championed the “diversification” of European societies are now having to admit the failure of the effort.

All this has prompted the aforementioned British equality minister, Trevor Philips — who helped popularize the term Islamophobia — to admit that the multiculturalism he once championed is a “failed policy.” He now laments, “Muslims want to be part of Britain — but many do not accept the values and behaviors that make Britain what it is; they believe that Islam offers a better future.” But why would newcomers accept native “values” when the natives themselves don’t value them enough to defend them?

As for whether Islam offers a better future, it may be the future in much of the West unless Westerners resurrect the glories of their past.

Unfortunately, for Europe, it may already be too far down the rabbit hole to “resurrect the glories of their past.”
