Louisiana Lawmaker: Declaration of Independence is Racist

The left has succeeded in removing historical symbols and figures all across the country in the name of racial equality and social justice warfare.  Mount McKinley was recently renamed “Denali.”  States across the south have been forced to remove the confederate flag and rename hundreds of streets, schools, and other public institutions because they have not been deemed sensitive to slavery’s history.

Now, a state legislator from Shreveport, Louisiana says that school children in the Bayou State should not be required to recite the Declaration of Independence because — you guessed it — it’s racist!  Watch below to see other lawmakers look on in bemused astonishment as Mrs. Norton shares her, uh… interesting point of view.
