Leftist Anarchists Protest Statue of Teddy Roosevelt

The same strain of seriously deranged individuals who are moving through the southern and center North American states in a frenzy to tear down our nation’s history, has descended upon New York City, birthplace of the Yankee Liberal, to demand that the American Museum of Natural History also fall into line at the heritage firing line or they will take matters into their own destructive hands!

The same group responsible for the changing of Columbus Day to Indigenous People’s Day is put on an Academy Award-winning drama inside the museum on Monday to highlight not only the statue that stands outside the steps of the museum, but also specific displays within that they feel are racist.

The museum was founded by the former president and Rough Rider of World War I, and for which the Teddy Bear was named.  But these Leftist purveyors of race hustling are not really after the museum’s founder, but after history itself.  These Social Justice Warriors have no other agenda in mind than to ERASE AMERICAN HISTORY AT ITS CORE.

The push is really about ERADICATING WHAT IS THERE IN TRUTH AND REPLACING IT WITH A SANITIZED, STERILIZED ALTERNATE VERSION (A RE-VISUALIZED ACCOUNT) OF WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED.  THEY ARE HERE TO DO ONE THING AND ONE THING ONLY.  THE SJWs ARE HERE TO LET YOU KNOW THAT WHITES WERE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING IN THIS COUNTRY, EXCEPT SLAVERY, OPPRESSION AND PAIN.  ONLY THE MINORITIES HAVE THE RIGHT TO CLAIM OWNERSHIP OF ANYTHING GOOD AND PURE AND HONEST IN THIS NATION’S HISTORY.

And that is the crux of this push to erase our history.  I warned that this Confederacy fervor was going to lead to the tearing down of museums and libraries and anywhere else that history is presented.  It doesn’t matter how long we have endured this ridiculous behavior.  It can only get worse, as long as we continue to coddle the Left.

Social justice warriors are never satisfied. If you give them an inch, they’ll take a mile. After demanding that southern states take down statues of Confederate figures, the activist Left is now targeting an iconic American president featured on Mount Rushmore.

On Monday, more than 200 SJW zealots held a protest inside the American Museum of Natural History in New York City to take down the supposedly “racist” statue of former President Theodore Roosevelt. The protest’s organizers, NYC Stands with Standing Rock and Decolonize This Place, also called for Columbus Day to be renamed Indigenous People’s Day.

“A stark embodiment of the white supremacy that Roosevelt himself espoused and promoted,” pontificated the group of protesters in a statement. “The statue is seen as an affront to all who pass it on entering the museum, but especially to African and Native Americans.”

Marching around the museum in a fit of self-righteous rage, protesters carried signs that read “BLACK LIVES MATTER,” “DECOLONIZE THIS MUSEUM,” and “ABOLISH WHITE SUPREMACY.”

Again, if this was really about racism, these foolish tools would be down in West Virginia protesting the Robert Byrd Medical Center in Huntington that was named after the 51-year senator who achieved very impressive status and rank in the Ku Klux Klan.  He remained with that body well into his 30s, so it was not just a “youthful indiscretion” as Bill Clinton likes to put it.

Senator Byrd, who was a dear friend of the Clintons, was the pure embodiment of “racism” and yet, we’re instead going to focus on Theodore Roosevelt where “racism” never a primary driving force in any of his decision-making.  However, the big difference between the two, of course, comes down to politics.  Roosevelt was a Republican who founded the National Parks Service and was a great believer in the preservation of the vast American natural life, and Byrd was a Democrat, who had on more than one occasion stood against African-Americans in any capacity serving in the government.

It’s difficult to put into words just how ignorant these SJWs are, but for lack of a better term, it really is “useful idiot,” because the DNC KNOWS that the this is not about “racism” but about Democrat history and erasing it in order to revise it.  Revisionist history has been a mainline agenda for the Jackasses for decades now and, for the first part of its inception, has been successful.  But American people are awake now and all that is changing.

The entire spectacle was underscored by a sort of religious fanaticism.

In fact, the devout left-wing activists moved from exhibit to exhibit in a trance-like motion burning sage and exuberantly playing Native American music.

Activists had purportedly planned the event three weeks in advance in order to make the bizarre show of leftist rage as special as possible.

“The group started with a 10-stop tour of the museum in which they highlighted a variety of exhibits they felt were racist and misrepresentative, which ranged from how the representation of Africans reinforces negative stereotypes to the exoticizing of Islam in the Hall of Islam exhibit,” reports The Guardian.

 

While the protesters managed to create a disruption at the museum, they failed to take down Roosevelt’s statue mounted outside thanks to 25 police officers who stood guard and protected the president.

This statue is safe while the 25 police officers protect it.  But you know and I know that it is just a matter of time…maybe days, maybe weeks…that one of two outcomes is effected.

1. The police move away from the statue because the City’s mayor, Bill de Blasio, a Leftist through-and-through, will order it, citing something like “budget cuts” or “safety issue” or some such ridiculous reason, and the statue will almost certainly be torn down by activists
2. The largest museum in the world will be forced to remove the edifice and hide it somewhere it will never be viewed again to save the snowflakes from the pain of its very existence

This is a wonderful museum and I began visiting it in my youth nearly four to five times a year.  Back then, my mother would throw a dollar into the little lock box that sat near the doors on Central Park West and we toured for hours and hours.  The great blue whale that is suspended from the ceiling in the lower halls of the aquatic world exhibit to the Egyptian world to the totem poles of the North.  It’s a fascinating place and if you ever get the chance to visit even once in your life, you will never forget it.

But this group, once they do tear down this monument or force its removal (and trust me, it will now happen, because we have become a society of legislators and business owners who bow our heads, apologize profusely and cow tow to whatever thug mentality with which we are accosted) WILL NOT STOP THERE.  ONCE THIS STATUE IS DESTROYED OR TUCKED AWAY IN THE RECESSES OF THE MUSEUM ITSELF, OR IN THE BASEMENT WITH ALL THE OTHER RELICS, SOMETHING ELSE WILL BE FOUND TO BE OBJECTIONABLE AND THEY WILL TAKE MORE ACTION.

It’s a never-ending cycle.  And it’s about to get even uglier.  Because “the more we capitulate, the more they hate!”

And that is the real truth here.
