Things just got serious in North Dakota, and if they continue at the rate they’re going, they may get very, very ugly as well.
For the past month or so, the nation’s attention has been captured by the bands of protestors gathering near the Standing Rock Indian reservation. Claiming that a planned pipeline would contaminate the water the resident Native Americans drink, the demonstrators have gathered in support of them and urged construction on the Dakota Access Pipeline to cease. Supporters of the pipeline, however, maintain that it doesn’t actually run through the reservation and that a number of similar lines already exist in the area.
Regardless of where one stands on the issue, the possibility for escalation between the protestors and law enforcement should give anyone who considers themselves concerned with justice pause and make them pray for a peaceful resolution.

The best thing I have seen protest a pipe line but ask for one
Lucian is referring to the Mississippi River system as the water flows down it.
Doubt this completely. More false reports and f**e articles. Bull$#%&!@*
Good they’re domestic terrorists
Actually it belongs to the Republic of Lakota according to the 1868 Treaty of Laramie, that the US government went back on six years later.
Scott Kibel Treaty of Laramie.. read it before you spew more mouth turds.
They are trespassing. Stop your wining and go home. How can any human being spend months camping and “protesting. Can any working adult go to their boss and say exvuse me I want to go camp for 1 to several weeks, please don’t fire me. Go home, go to work and support your families.
That sucks
Prove it Adam. Not to mention several so called “safe “pipelines break weekly.. they cant handle the pressure and,the oil is corrosive in its raw form..look at the farm in N Dakota that had a break.. 50 ,000 gallons later his land is unusable for about 50 acres.. and the cleanup will take 3 yrs.. a one inch hole did that..,from corrosion.. so imagine that in the water.. animals ,fish everything depends on it.. we had one here in the Yellowstone river break last year and even after so called cleanup there is still an oil sheen often on the water.. you gonna drink it?? If this DAPL breaks i can guarantee you we will take the waste and dump it in YOUR water supplies or across your graveyards.. see how you like it.
So wait, your rather them get shot, beaten and potentially killed rather than not eat for a few weeks and give up? Makes sense…
