Things just got serious in North Dakota, and if they continue at the rate they’re going, they may get very, very ugly as well.
For the past month or so, the nation’s attention has been captured by the bands of protestors gathering near the Standing Rock Indian reservation. Claiming that a planned pipeline would contaminate the water the resident Native Americans drink, the demonstrators have gathered in support of them and urged construction on the Dakota Access Pipeline to cease. Supporters of the pipeline, however, maintain that it doesn’t actually run through the reservation and that a number of similar lines already exist in the area.
Regardless of where one stands on the issue, the possibility for escalation between the protestors and law enforcement should give anyone who considers themselves concerned with justice pause and make them pray for a peaceful resolution.

If i had a helacopter id fly food in and drop it for them.
Disagree, the pipeline is not on Indian land. If oil was found on the reservation, you can bet they would be helping build the pipeline.
Go around Indian land your breaking the treaty you’ve taken everything from the native people let them have clean water
Cause they know the vets are on their way.
Bunch of paid off cowards.
Holy$#%&!@* the pipe that crosses water is 4 to 5 times thicker.. and makes everything all better. No thick pipes have ever burst..
There’s Already 8 pipe lines crossing the river. One of them follows the same pass this one is going. I live on this river my water comes from this river. This new pipe line is replacing a old from 1982. If we want to protect our water the new line is safer than the one that is not up to current code.
I back our blue. This protest was once peaceful. It hasn’t been since September. I live with daily. Even standing Rock is asking some of them to leave, but can’t force them since they are not on native land.
It’s gonna be another Oregon Ordeal. The Feds gonna come in and start shooting people
Not on native land.
Also the complaint about them wanting it to go by Bismark instead, well if it did that would make the line pass / go under water an extra 33 times.
