Things just got serious in North Dakota, and if they continue at the rate they’re going, they may get very, very ugly as well.
For the past month or so, the nation’s attention has been captured by the bands of protestors gathering near the Standing Rock Indian reservation. Claiming that a planned pipeline would contaminate the water the resident Native Americans drink, the demonstrators have gathered in support of them and urged construction on the Dakota Access Pipeline to cease. Supporters of the pipeline, however, maintain that it doesn’t actually run through the reservation and that a number of similar lines already exist in the area.
Regardless of where one stands on the issue, the possibility for escalation between the protestors and law enforcement should give anyone who considers themselves concerned with justice pause and make them pray for a peaceful resolution.

The vast majority of protesters are white and totally unprepared for ND winters. They need to leave.
It is going under the river just feet from another pipeline which the Standing Rock tribe had approved. Their water intake will be 70 miles from this crossing. There are already 8 pipelines under this river already. Finally, the crude is already being transported across this river in trucks and rail cars every day. Both trucks and rail cars have much higher accident rates.
The worst is, these so-called water protectors are digging trash pits and courthouses in the flood plain. They will contaminate the water much sooner than any oil spill.
The protesters are not on reservation land. The pipeline is on private land and Corps of Engineering land, not reservation.
Obamas America. Love the muslims. Hates everyone else.
Exactly what they deserve. They are the ones making it turn voilent. Not the police
The protesters are trespassing on Corps of Engineering land. They already destroyed the integrity of a bridge, the easiest access to the camp. There is bad weather coming and most of the protesters are camping in tents. If they need assistance, emergency services may not be able to reach them. They are protesting without knowing any facts, just emotional judgements like yours.
They need to go home before someone freezes to death.
And the slaughter of cattle and bison.
Fucken law enforcement cunts….
They were throwing Molotov cocktails at the police and lighting fires when they were told not to. They are the aggressors.
IF you all would learn what the facts of this issue are you would not be mad at the police you would mad at the protestors.
