The police haven’t always been keen on speech that doesn’t support their work. Just last month a Chicago concert was canceled by police, as it might have included lyrics that were against them. Clear violations of the constitution like this are happening fairly frequently, and the attitude of LAPD cops isn’t helping in Los Angeles.
According to TMZ:
Many LAPD cops are pissed at the release of “Straight Outta Compton” … because they feel the movie fuels hatred of police and compromises their safety.
The cops we spoke with share one sentiment … the movie portrays the LAPD officers as “beating machines” … brutalizing innocent citizens in the inner city.
Former L.A. City Councilman Dennis Zine, who was himself an LAPD cop and headed up the Police Protective League, tells us, “It’s a terrible time to release a movie like this. It adds fuel to the fire for hating cops.”
What police don’t always consider is that some cops are actual “beating machines”. A quick look at our “police state” category shows cop abuses happening all of the time across our country. This narrative of the abusive, violent cop isn’t something that’s made up.
The clip from the movie below shows something very real that’s happening to people across this country right now.

You hate cops, huh? Next time someone is kicking in your door at 2:00 AM to rob and kill you call Oprah instead of 911 !
Beth, if they did that, they would be meeting with my friends, Smith and Wesson. Before the useless cops ever got the call.
The way things are now I don’t agree with how they did that but I understand
Nicholas John Rizzo spoken like someone who’s killed a lot of paper targets and never had the control of someone’s life or death with the 1/4″ movement of an index finger…and doesn’t have friends who wear blue putting their lives on the line every day!
The right to bear arms does not give ANYONE the right to take another person’s life. We all live on this planet, you can’t escape it. So why not come together and stop all this killing, the only thing that does is destroy lives. The family whose loved one died, and the family of the person committing the crime. These killings are no win situations, you’re responsible for your actions, but the aftermath of your actions scar people forever! DOES ANYONE ELSE AGREE?
You don’t know me Dean Wittmer.
One out of six were unarmed.
Typical cop apologist response from these dimwits, Nicholas you are certainly in the right. Cops are sickos and extortionists but death never solves any. If cops were held responsible to the same standards as the rest of us civilians, I guarantee they’d all be in jail for life
