Korean war veteran Robert Willits and his wife Judy are battling their homeowners association who insist that they remove the American and MIA flag flying in their yard.
The couple moved to the Fieldstone neighborhood in Greenfield, IN at the end of last year and installed the flagpole over the summer.
Now their HOA demands that they remove the flags or pay $500 fine for legal fees.

Obama president OBOLA America’s Black Plague destroying our country. A true muslim traitor.
One of the reasons why hubby and I stayed away from areas with an HOA. I pay the mortgage and taxes and I’m not paying them to tell me what I can and can’t do with my property. This man has fought for those flags and the country they represent and he has every right to fly them proudly!
What is wrong with people now days? You should be able to fly your own countries flag on your property!!! People lost their damn minds, no sense at all.
This country use to stand for something if one of Veterans can’t fly our flag that he fought for we have a huge problem.
If they’re homeowners and not renters, the HOA is violating the Freedom to Display the American Flag Act of 2005 by forbidding the American flag to be flown. Bad move on their part. If the bylaws state no other flags, though, he’s going to be out of luck on his POW/MIA flag. He shouldn’t have bought there if he is insistent on flying the POW/MIA one.
May God be on your side fellow veteran——” YOU RIGHTFULLY EARNED IT!” Not someone making up this “outlandish rule” who more than likely never served, let alone in a major over sea’s conflict. I salute you for fighting the true villain. May you overcome this with success. Wish there were a petition on your behalf.
Obamas politically correctness and apologizing for America brought this on
Hell. NOONE should be told that they are not allowed to proudly display their homeland flag, even if they were “renters”. Not scolding on you Lisa, just making my point in general, some of these rules, laws, and regulations sometimes are, I suspect,,,”unconstitutional”. Especially if your a combat veteran in your 70’s or 80’s. Leave the poor guy alone!
That’s gratitude for ya….
Keep up the good work Sir
