“Know the Enemy:” 11 Revealing Quotes From Vladimir Putin

Petro Poroshenko, who was the Defense Minister of the Ukraine before the revolution took place there, ended up becoming its fifth president after its fourth president, Victor Yanukovich, who had extensive ties to the Kremlin and was thought to be undermining the efforts of the Ukrainian government to favor agendas and policies from Russia, was toppled from power and exiled.  The resulting information found after his ousting was even more amazing as, similar to the golden palace of Saddam Hussein, authorities finally had a true glimpse of how extensive the corruption of Yanukovich was when his mansion was entered following his exile.

On Toppling of Victor Yanukovich in Ukraine:  What happened in Kiev is an armed and unconstitutional seizure of power – a coup. No one is arguing with that.

The question is – why did it need to be done like that? Viktor Yanukovich had already given up his power, and had no chance of re-election. Why plunge the country into chaos? As a demonstration of power? This was a stupid decision and had the reverse effect. I believe it was these actions that destabilized the situation in the east of the country.”

TRANSLATION:  I don’t like to lose…and Yanukovich had a successor all lined up and ready to go…one that would have continued to do the bidding of the Kremlin.  Instead, we had a bunch of yahoos, egged on by Washington and Europe, to take to the streets and start complaining about the state of affairs in Ukraine when it was obvious that this seizure of power was more about political pressure from foreign antagonists than the freedom of a people who already had their freedom.  Furthermore, the destabilization in the east of the country, even though it was actually facilitated by Russia, was fun to point to when we were talking about chaos resulting from this overturning of Yanukovich’s presidency.

This is a very funny statement by Putin.  After his boy, Yanukovich, was being accused almost daily for years of being a shill for the Kremlin, he was finally toppled from power by a revolution of the people, led by some very vocal political opponents who were pro-Western, and was finally exiled.  Once his mansion was overtaken, it was made public the sprawling gardens and facilities that he had installed there which the taxpayers had paid through the nose for and they were enraged.  It appeared that Yanukovich’s cozy relationship with Russia had paid off big time.

Then, an enraged Putin sent troops into Ukraine, nearly up to its capital city of Kiev.  The European Union shook their fist and grumbled, but did nothing but criticize, while Obama remained quiet the entire time, choosing rather to invest in getting internet service to mud mosques in the deserts of the Middle East, all generously paid for by the American public.

As his black masked troops with AK-47s in Russian tanks rumbled through the streets and along the highways of the Ukraine, all the while Putin denied that his forces were inside the nation.  Still, nothing was done.  Finally, Kiev fought back, but it was already too late, as Russian forces has invaded Crimea, a southern district of Ukraine on the Black Sea, and “convinced” the local government there that they should side with Russia.  In short days afterward, an election was performed and Crimea unanimously opted to re-join Russia.  Crimea had been officially annexed without a peep from either the EU or the US; another great Obama legacy.  The troops withdrew from Ukraine and now possessed the entire array of very lucrative trading ports of Crimea on the Black Sea.  Simple as pie.  Does anyone believe that could happen today with Donald Trump in office?
