“Know the Enemy:” 11 Revealing Quotes From Vladimir Putin

The Middle East has always been in the looking glass of Moscow, especially since the errant military endeavors in Afghanistan in the 1970s.  Now that they have a new, revised relationship with Iran, Syria, Pakistan, Azerbaijan and many of the other -stan nations (Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan), their influence among Islamic nations continues to grow exponentially.  With a new agreement to build multiple nuclear reactors for Iran, the future of these nations, economically, looks profitable.

Donald Trump, in a visit to the Middle East earlier in the year, made a point of befriending the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia through a $400B military and economic agreement for the specific reasons to combat the SCO and Russia’s growing influence in the region.  Saudi Arabia is roughly the size of Iran and is pretty much the only power in that region capable of keeping the Iranian government in check.  With Russian backing, however (not to mention the generous American taxpayer-funded gifts by Barack Hussein Obama), Iran is holding their own.

On the Middle East:  There has been an attempt to reformat the region, to impose an outside model on it, either through regime change, or outright use of force. Instead of fighting extremism, instead of imitating such a fight, some of our peers want chaos to become a permanent state of affairs.”

TRANSLATION:  It is time for the United States to just admit that they have been fomenting a sick and hateful relationship between opposing Shia and Sunni governments for ages now and it’s time for them to stop interfering and allow peaceful business relationships between them and us to go forward from this point.  The CIA of the United States has been instrumental in feeding the frenzy by supplying weapons to the enemies of Syria in an attempt to take down a democratically-elected leader.  It’s time for the US to butt out.

I agree wholeheartedly.  We need to allow the Middle East to hold to its own affairs.  Let Mohammed bin-Salman determine what needs to be done politically, militarily and economically and Benjamin Netanyahu make decisions necessary for the safety and security of Israel and the rest will play out the way it will.  No need for a big game of Risk right at this moment in time.  Focus on our domestic issues and North Korea at the moment.
