Kid Rock Ready to “Rock” Michigan With Bid For Senate

When the political website launched on Wednesday, some media outlets speculated it was just a publicity stunt to promote Kid Rock-branded apparel in a linked Warner Brothers merchandise store. State GOP chairman Ron Weiser said he hasn’t heard from Rock, and ventured in a text, “It could be a publicity ploy, don’t know.”

Rock blasted the media and turned up the heat on Stabenow and politicians in general on Facebook yesterday:

Once again the press is wrong. First of all, I’ve got 15 days from my announcement to file paperwork with the FEC! Second, I’m not signed to Warner Bros!!! – which simple fact-checking would have revealed.”

His reference to Stabenow drew a contrast between his working class roots and her predictably tired liberal politics. She was first elected in 2000 and most recently re-elected in 2012 with 58 percent of the vote. No doubt she benefited from Barack Obama’s presidential coattails.

Senator Stabenow and I do share a love of music, although probably not the same kind. I concede she is better at playing politics than I am so I’ll keep doing what I do best, which is being a voice for tax paying, hardworking AMERICANS and letting politicians like her know that We the People are sick and tired of their bullsh*t!”

For fans dismayed that Rock may leave the music world behind, he had a special message in his Facebook rant:

I have recently worked out a unique deal with BMG, Broken Bow, CAA and Live Nation to release music ON MY TERMS. Like politicians write books during their campaigns, I’m planning on putting out music during mine and IT ALL STARTS TONIGHT AT MIDNIGHT. It’s not a hoax, it’s a strategy and marketing 101!”

Imagine a Senator Ritchie coming to Washington and still releasing hot hits over the Internet! Before any thumb-sucking progressive could whine about conflict of interest, they could consider the books pumped out by politicians that wind up in the bargain bin.

Kid Rock certainly doesn’t fit the political mold that traditionalists and globalists long for. He’s bound to promote some serious angst among the Fake News media.

But he’s clearly inspired by a certain businessman and political novice who decided to enter politics on his own terms. Maybe he’ll invite Senator Ritchie to have dinner with him at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Interestingly enough, Rock has already been there, having been invited by President Trump for dinner in April along with fellow rocker Ted Nugent and former Alaska governor Sarah Palin. That visit resulted in a photo posed by the three of them before a portrait of former First Lady (and twice-defeated presidential candidate) Hillary Clinton that caused a sensation on the Internet.

The idea of Kid Rock as senator was floated at the Michigan Republican Party convention in February, and it’s obviously gained some traction since then. However, there already are two other prospective GOP candidates, businesswoman Lena Epstein and former Michigan Supreme Court Justice Bob Young, Jr.

Campaign slogans are already popping up, such as “In Rock We Trust” and “I’ll Rock the Party.”

Rock promises a “major announcement” in the near future. Michigan politics is headed for some wild days ahead.
