The state of Kentucky is not backing off their decision to fire volunteer pastor counselors from its youth activities programs who call homosexuality ‘sinful’.
Spokeswoman for the Department of Juvenile Justice, Stacy Floden stated that the agency “seeks to protect the rights of all youth in its care and custody regardless of sexual orientation or committing offense.”
“To this end, the department prohibits its staff and volunteers from discriminating against youth based on sexual orientation or gender identity,” Floden stated.

So is eating shrimp, wearing mixed cloth, not marrying your rapist etc, etc. but hey, just cherry pick the hell out of whatever suits your agenda.
You didn’t read the article did you?
The 1st Amendment protects you from the government. Not from anyone else.
Kentucky done no such thing. I taught this was supposed to be truthful
ALL I can say if you are going to try and change the preaching in eastern Kentucky you best stay where you are cause them folks will feed you to the snakes
the only war involving religion is religion’s war on equal rights for those traditionally repressed, supressed, and opressed by said religion… gays being given equal rights isn’t a war on religion it is however a fight against religious opression… everyone has the right to worship how they choose… but nobody has the right to use their religion as a resion to discriminate against others…
It protects your freedom of speech that is government or anyone else
‘Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy.” Ezekiel 16:49
Read your Cons$#%&!@*ution, Jeff. The first words of the 1st Amendment state “Congress shall make no law…abridging freedom of speech….”
David is right. The Cons$#%&!@*ution protects you from government prosecution because of your speech. It doesn’t restrain the average American.
For example, I could walk into my boss’s office tomorrow, tell him he’s an incompetent, slimy toad and while he can’t have me arrested, he can certainly fire me.
Again, know your rights. You never know when you may need them.
Ezekiel 25:17. “The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the
inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in
the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of
darkness, for he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost
children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious
anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know
my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.”
