When Thomas Jefferson obtained a Koran (spelled Quran by the pretentious set) he was looking to see what it was all about. Before he became President, Jefferson was an ambassador along with John Adams. America at that time, was beset by some Islamic radicals your history books sometimes refer to as the Barbary Coast pirates.
They met with an ambassador from Tripoli and this polite chap informed them:
“That’s what we do. We are commanded to do so by Allah.” Jefferson later wrote that the Tripoli ambassador told him, “It was written in their Koran that all nations which had not acknowledged the Prophet were sinners, whom it was the right and duty of the faithful to plunder and enslave; and that every mussulman (Muslim) who was slain in this warfare was sure to go to Paradise.”
Things were so much different then.
Speed up this hyper-enlightened post 9/11 era and we can’t get enough of officials getting sworn in on a book that Jefferson once obtained to learn about extremists murdering our sailors.
Rep. Keith Ellison was sworn in on Jefferson’s own Koran, as if this was some latent dream of the Founding Fathers. Most well read people were in on the joke and understood the moxy Rep. Ellison was showing by swearing in on the one book that was used to craft our defense of the first American attacks from Jihadists.
No one knew better except a few Glenn beck listeners and who cares anyway? The Koran is just like the Bible, etc…
Now we have an actual judge showcased just to provoke a reaction.
See page two for the Koran swearing judge
It is not a matter of requirement. If not a legal matter, then a moral and love of America matter. – The first part of the FIRST Ammendment is not a coincidense. They very much had biblical references and respects in mind. The Puritans who landed on these shores made a covenant with the Biblical God.
We should never allow any Muslim to be a judge.
That’s not actually how freedom or specifically freedom of religion works. The women is an American Citizen born in NY and has served as an attorney, upholding the laws of this country for years. And now because she has a different religion than you…you don’t trust her to be a judge in the same courtroom where she was an attorney.
she is not legally a judge then….none of her decisions matter until she does it right.
per our constitution,invalid
She is too stupid to even realize what she is doing.
did people who allowed it know that quran required from it’s followers to cheat, kill and rob all who do not believe in quran? So this woman just swered that she will do it to all who is not muslim -can she still be a judge?
I can produce historical quote after quote after quote from the writers of the Declaration of Independance as well as those involved with the U.S. Constitution. Much more so than those who did not believe in the biblical God. – You have made a false accusation. You have said that I dont trust someone who has a different religion from me. Islam is NOT a “religion.” It is a death cult with political ideology. It deserves NO protection under the U.S. Constitution. I actually believe that most “religions” can offer some things benefiscial to many cultures. However. Islam is a virus that eventually seeks to overwhelm its host. It infiltrates using other peoples abd cultures tolerance to eventually inact its intolerance.
So she isn’t a judge then impeach her
Kirby many of the founders believed in A god..which means they were deists..not theists. Some of then yes believed in the biblical god…so what. Many of the founders of the country believed that owning slaves was ok….
And just saying that islam is NOT a religion doesn’t actually make it so. And what makes islam a death cult and not christianity. I mean christians worship a human sacrifice, and think that someone else can be a scapegoat for all of their transgressions. So much for accountability. Anyway…..if you are irrational enough to say that islam is not a religion then there’s no point in trying to have a rational conversation…you are just going to believe what you want to believe anyway. Good luck.
