Jimmy Carter is the Only Former President Committed to Trump’s Inauguration

The invites for Donald Trump’s inauguration are out — and there are a few noticeable RSVPs missing.

Bill Clinton is considering skipping the inauguration, a source told Politico Thursday night, after he got into a bitter argument with the president-elect on Twitter.

The former president said Trump only knows “how to get angry, white men to vote for him,” while Trump said Clinton can’t win an election despite an “unlimited budget.”

George W. Bush hasn’t decided if he’s attending the event either, his spokesman Freddy Ford said, and will make his decision after the new year.

His father George H.W. Bush, who is 92, will not attend because of his age.

Of the four living former presidents, only Jimmy Carter has committed to the event. The younger Bush may still go, but all eyes may be on Clinton. Will the former president put pettiness behind him for the good of country, or will he let his wife’s defeat influence his decision not to attend the inauguration?
