With Kathy Griffin have been fired from her one-time-a-year gig with BFF Anderson Cooper on CNN, and a few comedy shows across the United States, as well as an endorsement for “Squatty Potty”…yes, the toilet aid…go figure…Griffin is now saying that misogyny is the reason why she’s having “bad luck” in her loss of endorsements and shows.
Of course it’s sexism. [Thumping myself in the forehead] How silly of me to think it had something to do with the fact that she decided to highlight one of the most despicable terrorist acts on the face of the planet, even while REAL people across the globe are ACTUALLY LITERALLY getting their throats slashed and their heads removed from their still-living bodies with a long dull knife, snapping the spinal cord to complete the barbaric 7th Century-era practice!
Oh, yeah, Griffin! It was sexism that forced you to be an insensitive moron!
Nice try.
Mark my words, it was no mistake on her part. The apology was only a regret that she was called on her idiocy as a human being. Any decent person would understand that this was way over the line. And she did. Again, this was exactly WHY she did it. And for a woman who announces each and every show and every appearance about how she is a proud supporter of the LGBTQIA community (commonly referring to her cabal as, “My gays”), one would think that she would be a LITTLE more sensitive about the whole beheading thing, especially considering the way gays are being treated by the Islamic State, thrown from the rooftops of buildings, as it were. Of course, she’s a Liberal and the very definition of Liberalism is hypocrisy. So, I guess nothing new there.
Because of the backlash, and because she is now so horribly distraught over the misogyny by the president (“Why can’t he just take a joke!?”) the reinforcements are arriving. At the head of the cavalry charge are Jamie Foxx, who insists that we shouldn’t be “killing the comedian,” and Jim Carrey, who (in addition to being accused of possibly contributing to the premature death of his Irish girlfriend for a drug overdose) is also working on a new show! Yay!
Jim Carrey, who will no doubt be able to take a joke about “sleeping with the nanny” in a jocular way, has made a statement of support for Kathy Griffin. In fact, he is fully behind her in her desire to kill President Trump.
“I think it is the job of a comedian to cross the line at all times — because that line is not real,” Carrey, 55, explained matter-of-factly to ET’s Leanne Aguilera on Wednesday night, just hours after Griffin was fired by CNN.
“If you step out into that spotlight and you’re doing the crazy things that [Trump is] doing,” Carrey continued, “we’re the last line of defense. And really, the comedians are the last voice of truth in this whole thing. It’s impossible to get away from it.”
The Golden Globe winner went on relate a dream he claimed he had recently. “I had a dream the other night I was playing golf with Donald Trump,” he recalled. “I was standing beside him with a club in my hand, and I was considering my options when I suddenly woke up.”
“It was one of those dreams where you just want to get back to sleep so you can finish it, you know?” Carrey added.
Both Jim Carrey and Kathy Griffin live in a plastic world of air kisses, fake hair, make-up, and movie scripts where they’re told what to say, how to act, and when to think. It’s a real horribly disfigured and warped world where emotion only comes from an eyedropper on the cheek or a text that reads, “Let’s do lunch!”
When these two come back down to Earth from their high pedestals that have been constructed for them by their adoring Leftist fans, then and only then might they realize that a gallon of milk isn’t free and fetuses have a heartbeat. Say a prayer for these two hypocrites. They’re going to need it. From the clips I’ve seen of Carrey’s new show, I’ll give one and a half seasons, tops.
And now for my prediction, because you’ve all been so patient.
PREDICTION: Within the next few weeks, there will be a call by all comedians (as more of them come to aid their sister-in-peril) that the First Amendment rights of their profession are being threatened by an intolerant Right wing conspiracy to shut them up. Wait for it…it will happen. One or more of them will say that, despite the fact that their words are inflammatory (or even downright despicable) they should have the right to say them.
And that is the moment that Coulter, Yiannopoulos, Shapiro and Steyn should come out and agree vehemently, requesting a joint press conference with said comedians to announce their solidarity in the upholding of the First Amendment.
Yeah, I won’t hold my breath for that presser either.
