Iranian Revolutionary Guards were flexing their muscles at American forces when they fired rockets that splashed down 1,500 feet from the USS Harry S. Truman.
It is not the first time Iran has caused trouble in the straight of Hormuz. In 1988, Iran planted mines and ended up damaging a US Navy ship. The Navy ended up sinking several Iranian ships in response.
There was much back and forth between the Iranian and US forces after the exercise pertaining to it’s legitimacy and the motives behind such an aggressive demonstration.
The events cast an even longer shadow over President Obama’s allegedly flimsy deal with Iran over it’s nuclear ambitions.
The reports suggest Iran is feeling unrestrained by the deal and are confident they can test the limits of their belligerence without serious consequences.

Wow, you think just like isis.
If it’s in the internet it must be real let me get back to cleaning my guns.
We are all uniquely challenged , by tour MORONIC dribble
As promise that we are about to start a 3rd World War. But first Obama will end up in prison for treason. The Front Page of the New York Times will show that Obama was arrested for ntreason by the FBI. That will be the best news America will hear before election day on 2016. The right word is America a Republic and it belongs to the Republicans, No more lies no more changes from a twisted mind like Barack Hussein Obama and also Hillary R. Clinton is mentally unstable no way that she will ever run our Republic and iif she do she will not be the one run America but Bill Clinton is the one that be doing her work. Semper Fi
What would happen if Harry Truman were President ?:
And Obama is playing golf
Thanks Libs!
well it’s apparent that none of you served in the military by your comments for one thing the navy has to get Pentagon approval and our screwed up president too before they can fire back if it actually happened
Barrac called the moooler and said stop it please
We have to start asking “What matters to you?”
One of the most fascinating aspects to U.S. militarism is the fluoridated koolaid that has infected the minds of so many Americans: that U.S. soldiers have sacrificed their lives or limbs in foreign wars to “defend our freedom” here at home.
This is a koolaid that is inculcated into every child, from the time he reaches six years of age and heads into the public (i.e., government) school system. By the time the kid reaches his teen years, the indoctrination is taking hold. By the time he becomes an adult, the indoctrination is complete. In fact, the indoctrination is so perfect that actually it doesn’t matter what the troops are doing overseas. Whatever they are doing is automatically considered to be “defending our freedom.”
There is no doubt that millions of Americans will automatically conclude that those U.S. troops killed and died “defending our freedom,” notwithstanding the fact that our freedom was never at risk. Remember: that hypothetical country never attacked the United States or even threatened to do so. Yet, many Americans will nonetheless honor their brave and courageous soldiers who died or lost arms or legs while “defending our freedom.” It is how the indoctrinated mind works.
We have to stop thanking veterans for their service…..
When blindly thanking veterans for their service you are memorializing and valorization that soldier. It postulates that placing the soldier on a societal pedestal effectively subverts anti-war sentiments and genuine peace. In conjunction with an economic system which makes war preparation and war-making profitable, as in Dwight Eisenhower’s “military-industrial complex,” the Western-world would seem to be placed in a permanent war-footing.
This is what you are blindly celebrating.
The indiscriminate use of bombs and nuclear munitions by the US, usually outside a declared war situation, for wanton destruction, for no military objectives, whose targets and victims are civilian populations, or what we now call “collateral damage.”
The development and use of chemical and biological weapons, and has either used or tested (without informing the civilian populations) including testing such weapons on US civilian populations, without their knowledge, encouraging the use of such weapons, and provided the technology to develop such weapons in various nations abroad.
To install puppet regimes, or alternatively to engage in political actions such as smear campaigns, sponsoring or targeting opposition political groups (depending on how they served US interests), undermining political parties, sabotage and terror campaigns, and so forth.
To rig or distort the outcome of foreign elections, and sometimes engineered sham “demonstration” elections to ward off accusations of government repression in allied nations in the US sphere of influence. These sham elections have often installed or maintained in power repressive dictators who have victimized their populations.
The creation and launching of direct US campaigns to support torture as an instrument of terror and social control for governments, The promotion, protection, arming or equiping of terrorists, Using assassination as a tool of foreign policy, arming dictators, militaries, and terrorists that repress or victimize their populations, and fueling scores of violent conflicts around the globe,
These are all “Crimes against humanity” that were and are committed as part of a widespread or systematic attack directed against any civilian population.
In direct violation of the Kellogg–Briand Pact (or Pact of Paris, officially General Treaty for Renunciation of War as an Instrument of National Policy[1]) in which signatory states promised not to use war to resolve “disputes or conflicts of whatever nature or of whatever origin they may be, which may arise among them.”[2] Parties failing to abide by this promise “should be denied of the benefits furnished by this treaty.” It was signed by Germany, France and the United States on August 27, 1928, and by most other nations soon after. Sponsored by France and the U.S., the Pact renounced the use of war and called for the peaceful settlement of disputes.
The Kellogg-Briand Pact was signed and ratified 1928.

Killed by the Police

The truth, as discomforting as it is, is that the many U.S soldiers who have been sacrificed in America’s countless foreign wars did not die defending our freedom. That’s nothing more than a false bromide used to justify America’s never-ending foreign wars.
Why….because….All wars are bankers wars.

The freedom left behind:: I find the accuracy based somewhere between 150 to 175 million killed and somewhere around 400 to 500 million displaced but either way, this is all over nothing. These are people who died over money, land, and in some cases religion. They are not defending anything, not land, not women, not children, not elders, not the constitution, nothing. only corporate profit for a few bankers. Are either of those really important enough to kill for?
Now you have a choice between embracing the sometimes painful truth of reality (red pill) and the blissful ignorance of illusion (blue pill).

So Who’s accountable for this…..why it’s “We the People” wrapped in silent support and apathetic disregard for humanity.
…So, what matters to you?
