Finally. An authority figure with real-life experience has stated that modern Islamic terrorism has changed the landscape, and the public must participate in their own defense. Liberal professors postulate, and Democrat politicians with security details wring their hands and insist that “safe zones” and “gun-free zones” will keep everyone safe from evil guns that apparently fire themselves.
Former Interpol Secretary General Ronald Noble, who previously headed up all law enforcement for the U.S. Treasury Department, had a different take on how the public should respond to terrorism. He made his comments after last month’s deadly al-Shabab attack at the Westgate shopping mall in Nairobi, Kenya, and suggested that the most logical answer might be the arming of civilians.
That undoubtedly will have liberals crying in frustration because it is the opposite of what they want to hear.

Barbara Brown , We plan on staying that way too ! Unlike Australia now !!!——-they there are all crying the blues over it !!——————————————————————->American v. Australia crime rate since gun ban
Well goes to show you no guns at all does not stop criminals , they will find a way & in the mean time innocent people pay with their life……Gene
Have you ever done any research or are you just a bobble-head left wing sheeple. Did you know that 99995 out of 10000 legally purchased guns are never used to commit a crime. Out of the other five 3.5 of them are stolen, lost or obtained by a straw purchase. The problem isn’t the 2nd amendment it is the breakdown of families in the inner city where the vast majority of murders take place (over 8000 out of 9000 annually) Over 98% of the guns used in these crimes are unlawfully obtained and in possession of felons that cannot legally possess a gun. So tell me how taking guns from lawful citizens is going to reduce the murder rate. It will in fact raise it because criminals will now know everyone but them are unarmed. Let’s look at Australia a country very similar to America in its strong individualism and make up. It is a common fantasy that gun bans make society safer. In 2002 — five years after enacting its gun ban — the Australian Bureau of Criminology acknowledged there is no correlation between gun control and the use of firearms in violent crime. In fact, the percent of murders committed with a firearm was the highest it had ever been in 2006 (16.3 percent), says the D.C. Examiner.
Even Australia’s Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research acknowledges that the gun ban had no significant impact on the amount of gun-involved crime:
•In 2006, assault rose 49.2 percent and robbery 6.2 percent.
•Sexual assault — Australia’s equivalent term for rape — increased 29.9 percent.
•Overall, Australia’s violent crime rate rose 42.2 percent.
Moreover, Australia and the United States — where no gun-ban exists — both experienced similar decreases in murder rates:
•Between 1995 and 2007, Australia saw a 31.9 percent decrease; without a gun ban, America’s rate dropped 31.7 percent.
•During the same time period, all other violent crime indices increased in Australia: assault rose 49.2 percent and robbery 6.2 percent.
•Sexual assault — Australia’s equivalent term for rape — increased 29.9 percent.
•Overall, Australia’s violent crime rate rose 42.2 percent.
•At the same time, U.S. violent crime decreased 31.8 percent: rape dropped 19.2 percent; robbery decreased 33.2 percent; aggravated assault dropped 32.2 percent.
•Australian women are now raped over three times as often as American women.
Australian Gun Law Update;
Here’s a thought to warm some of your hearts….
From: Ed Chenel, A police officer in Australia
Hi Yanks, I thought you all would like to see the real
figures from Down Under. It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by a new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by our own
government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars.
The first year results are now in:
Australia-wide, homicides are up 6.2 percent,
Australia-wide, assaults are up 9.6 percent;
Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!
In the state of Victoria…..alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent.(Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not and criminals still possess their guns!)
While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady
decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since the criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed. There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the elderly, while the resident is at home.
Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in ‘successfully ridding Australian society of guns….’
You won’t see this on the American evening news or hear your governor or members of the State Assembly disseminating this information.
The Australian experience speaks for itself. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws affect only the law-abiding citizens.
Take note Americans, before it’s too late!

AUSTRALIA: MORE VIOLENT CRIME DESPITE GUN BAN
Sounds like he is coming around to our 2nd Amendment ideas.
Here in the USA, Chicago has the strictest gun laws and one of the highest violent crime rates. It is the liberal administration and the media that are pushing for stiff gun control, no guns eventually. Our founding fathers understood the importance of an armed citizenry and put that right up top.
Wow interpool.ummmmm
Works well against tyrannical governments too.
tell the dumb$#%&!@*democrats ,Hillary and Obama that they want to disarm Americas and throw the door wide open to radical islam
