The Internet has been buzzing with an article from The New Yorker that got picked up and reported by Fox News on an imminent, massive earthquake that threatens to take down the Pacific Northwest.
It seems that this mega-quake is about 75 years overdue – it has been striking the area for the last 10,000 years around every 240 years.
So it’s not a question of ‘if’, but ‘when’.
When it does strike it will take down everything west of Interstate 5, including Seattle, Tacoma, Portland, Eugene, Salem, Olympia – home to around seven million people.
The coming quake will register somewhere between 8.7- 9.2 and will create a gigantic, 100ft high tsunami that will also cause considerable destruction.

Well, the Good Group ought to be ecstatic, since they are all about population control.
No, not by a long shot Aimee. They’re going into crisis mode out there and need an excuse to get ppl to move on their own accord first….before taking military action.
Oky I admit the flault line set up just discovered has thrown a monkey wrench into any accurate predicition of how bad the eruption will be but an erruption is emminant could be just a lateral flow because of the plates shifting or could be compressed to blow like Karatoga that put the world into an ice age like it has done in the geological past.
Jerry, wanna move back to Oregon?
I’ll get back to you on that… just don’t start packing my stuff yet 🙂
And maybe it will 🙂
