When Hampshire College announced that it would no longer fly the American flag on campus, hundreds of protestors converged on the school to make it clear that they did not agree with the decision.
Video of the demonstrations showed protestors peacefully displaying banners and waving the stars and stripes in defiance of the college’s edict.
Sunday, hundreds gathered at Hampshire College to protest the school’s decision to stop flying the American flag.
MassLive compiled video from the demonstration, which saw people waving American flags and singing “God Bless America.”
War veterans, Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno, Springfield City Councilor Kateri Walsh and Westfield state Rep. John Velis, who served in Afghanistan, all urged Hampshire College to fly the flag again.
