Chicago has set a record this past September, and not one to brag about. Since 2002, this record has not been matched until now. Fifty-nine murders and 362 gunshot victims occurred in the city with the strictest gun laws in the nation.
The Tribune reported that there were two consecutive weekends where more than 50 people were shot in September and August had more than 40 shootings every weekend.

Going in for the pizza or the blues ?
Gun free zone , except to criminals, who always carry city wide. This is your Model for gun control, only the criminals packing.
Jason, we understand that guns have to be manufactured , we get it , but since you think you have the answers to the problem you tend to forget a few things…if someone wants something bad enough they will find a way to get what ever they are looking for… You said that those in Chicago just cross the state line, or county line, and just go to the nearest gun shop and get a weapon of choice, in this case guns , without background checks etc,, I say BS… Where is your proof ? Have you went and tried to purchase a weapon ? If you are out of state the gun will have to be shipped to a legal gun store in your state for you to pick it up there… And you think they need more gun laws ? They will win a war on guns like they did with the war on drugs … Won’t work, and the gun buy backs are a joke , only those really needing the money will do it… I guess you want all of the ammo registered as well? Sounds like the military, but since you have never been in the service I will let that one slide
My proof is with the state guns laws.

Iowa- Rifles and shotguns did not need permission to purchase, register, license, or carry.Handguns required a permit to purchase and carry, but did not need to licensed or registered. Other Iowa gun laws include being 21 years of age or older to purchase a gun, having a clean criminal record to purchase a gun, and to not be addicted to drugs, alcohol or any other types of controlled substances
Wisconsin is often grouped together along with the many states that do not provide for strict or extremely selective firearm policies. State law does not require that an individual obtain a gun license or permit for the purchase of shotguns, rifles, handguns, or other firearms. Furthermore, there is no permit or gun license required for the possession of a firearm.
